How to make Takakau

How to make Takakau
We are learning to follow the structure of a procedural text.

Introduction: Takakau is a maori bread that was first made when the Europeans came to New Zealand and they brought flour to the country. You use butter and syrup to soften it or you can have it with a boil up.

Takakau Ingredients

1 teaspoon salt (to your taste)
2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
100 ml milk or water

Method

First we put in the flour, baking powder,salt and milk.

Then we use a fork to mix them together so that it is dough.

Knead the dough for a minute.

Put a little bit of flour on the baking tray and shape the dough so it is 2cm thick.

And then bake the mixture for thirty minutes at 200 degrees celsius

 What is a treaty?
A treaty is an agreement between different groups of people. The  treaty of Waitangi is a treaty  that was signed in Waitangi, New Zealand.



2. New Zealand needed a treaty for different reasons. The traders and whalers were breaking the law but maori chiefs were not in control of them. They needed a law that they would follow. The British wanted the treaty so that they could control the land.


3. When was the treaty signed?
The Treaty was signed  on the 6 February 1840. It was signed by Hone Heke and Maori chiefs and members of the British government.



Was the Treaty fair?  The treaty wasn't fear cause their was a  Maori language and a british language version.                  

Is the treaty still important today.      
It is because the person that signed the treaty was called Hone heke he was the leader of Nga Puhi.

Insulation is a important matter because you can get rheumatic fever and other kind of sickness you also get cold and if you had pink batts for the roof,walls,windows and the floor lass.Pink batts keeps the cold out and keeps the warm inside and if you don't have pink batts it can damage the  house by damaging the house the cold air can blent the metal.You can get pink batts from mitre10 and the bargain warehouse when you want to put pink batts in the walls and the roofs you need to get a white working suit.
