Sound energy is produced when an object vibrates.The sound vibration cause waves of pressure that travel through a medium,such as air,water,wood or metal.Sound energy is a form of mechanical energy.

Sound is produced when something vibrates.The vibrating body causes the medium water air and etc around it to vibrate.Vibrations in air are called travelling longitudinal waves wich we can hear.Sound waves consist of areas of high and low pressure called compression and rarefaction and respectively.

Monday 12th March 2018 Today it was all about team building. Follow the leader and praise everyone for their participation. We took part in various games like paper, scissors, rock, acting and the master. We learnt not to put people down when they are losing instead encourage them to do better. Each teams tried their hardest to do the right actions.

How to make Takakau

How to make Takakau

We are learning to follow the structure of a procedural text.

Introduction: Takakau is a maori bread that was first made when the Europeans came to New Zealand and they brought flour to the country. You use butter and syrup to soften it or you can have it with a boil up.

Takakau Ingredients

1 teaspoon salt (to your taste)

2 cups flour

2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

100 ml milk or water

Method

First we put in the flour, baking powder,salt and milk.

Then we use a fork to mix them together so that it is dough.

Knead the dough for a minute.

Put a little bit of flour on the baking tray and shape the dough so it is 2cm thick.

And then bake the mixture for thirty minutes at 200 degrees celsius

 What is a treaty?

A treaty is an agreement between different groups of people. The  treaty of Waitangi is a treaty  that was signed in Waitangi, New Zealand.

2. New Zealand needed a treaty for different reasons. The traders and whalers were breaking the law but maori chiefs were not in control of them. They needed a law that they would follow. The British wanted the treaty so that they could control the land.

3. When was the treaty signed?

The Treaty was signed  on the 6 February 1840. It was signed by Hone Heke and Maori chiefs and members of the British government.

Was the Treaty fair?  The treaty wasn't fear cause their was a  Maori language and a british language version.                  

Is the treaty still important today.      
It is because the person that signed the treaty was called Hone heke he was the leader of Nga Puhi.

Insulation is a important matter because you can get rheumatic fever and other kind of sickness you also get cold and if you had pink batts for the roof,walls,windows and the floor lass.Pink batts keeps the cold out and keeps the warm inside and if you don't have pink batts it can damage the  house by damaging the house the cold air can blent the metal.You can get pink batts from mitre10 and the bargain warehouse when you want to put pink batts in the walls and the roofs you need to get a white working suit. State of matter

Today we have been learning about the three states of matter (solid, liquid and gas) and the changes of matter. In this experiment we first melted the chocolate in the microwave. This meant that the chocolate changed from a solid to a liquid. Then we left it to dry and cool down. This meant that the chocolate changed from a liquid to a solid.

New Zealanders use around three million plastic bags a day.(thatś over a bilion bags each year.)	Take your cloth bags when you go shopping-or reuse a cardboard box.
Up to 100 000 marine animals,mostly whales,seals and turtles die each year around the world after eating or becoming tangled in plastic bags.	Make sure your family keeps a stash of old plastic bags or cloth,a box, or even a laundry basket in the car for unexpected purchases
The average new zealand family has collected sixty bags after just four trips to the supermarket.	If you do end up with plastic bags,try to reuse them as bin liners or for anything else useful you can think of.

 The plastic bag is bad because its causes bad and poison thing and it kills sea creatures. And New Zealanders use around three million plastic bags a day and sometimes
